Beautiful dress but stress as the dress came after my wedding day!
The dress was beautiful! Loved the dress. But the low rating is because it made if after my wedding day. The owner said she would ship 7 days USPS and I was a bit worried about that because USPS does not deliver on Sunday and my renewal was on a Tuesdaybut I thought "hey she is the expert and she knows this is a once in a life time event" Looking back I also wish SHE would have recommended the wedding be on a Wednesday. I scheduled the ceremony based on her recommendations as it was a beach ceremony with just our immediate family and we could have had it any day of the week the 7 days we were on vacation. Thinking back I wish I had asked for next day Fed Ex instead of USPS which does not deliver on a Sunday. We arrive in Maui on Friday so a Saturday or Sunday delivery would have made more sense if case something went wrong. So either having the ceremony on a Wed or having the dress Feb Exed would have made most sense. I am really depending on help around shipping and timelines as I don't do this everyday and I am planning so many details. I also own my own business and I am the expert on my work. As a woman of color woman I wanted to support other women of color. I could have purchased the dress but I wanted to spend money on our awesome Maui trip! This isn't happening again for us. The venue was actually more concerned and changed the entire schedule to support my special day. If I was locked into one day that I paid thousands of dollars for I would be far more upset. My son is in the Navy and we only see each other a few times a year --if he was not there for my ceremony that also would have been hurtful for me. I did not get any apology for the dress not arriving on my ceremony day--and no call back --the owner had my number and email and my husband's number. She just stated it must be frustrating and stated her case in the email. Since FedEx delivers on Sundays and it was ultimately send by Fed Ex then it should have been sent via Fed Ex to begin with for a once in a lifetime day or suggested we have the ceremony on a Wednesday or Thursday if the window of time was too short for the shipping -again it was a beach ceremony and I had some flexibility but once we arrived on Friday we started scheduling tours! So if we cancelled a tour we would have lost thousands --yes private tours for 6 people are expensive. The venue even texted a thank you to me! No check in from Dare and Dazzle after the ceremony. so while the dress was beautiful the customer services was very lacking. I am not angry, but more so hurt and sadden by this and I think my flexibility was unique as this was a 30 year renewal instead of a wedding. Don't take my word for things --view the email and I hope this makes up your mind about the quality of service. Every person is different and has a different level of frustration. Some might not mind any of this. For me it was more hurtful than anything as these are once in a lifetime moments. I was able to have my special day and hope this review might help someone as they think of their shipping for a destination wedding. My goal is to help others more than anything
