Tilly gown is simple and elegant. Made of silk, with embellishments on the bodice, Tilly is perfect for a spring wedding in your own backyard, at a park, or a beach.
Tilly gown is named after Beatrice ‘Tilly’ Shilling, an aeronautical engineer, and daredevil motorcycle racer, and is credited by her peers to help the Allies win WWII. In 1940, during the Battle of France and Battle of Britain, Royal Air Force pilots discovered a serious problem of stalling in fighter planes with Rolls-Royce engines.
In March 1941, Tilly led a small team and solved this problem, saving countless pilots' lives during the war.
